What you'll learn in this weaving class:

Learn to weave in this beginner's course as you deepen your understanding of hand weaving's relevance in relation to material production, fine art, and craft. Explore traditional tapestry approaches such as interlocking, inlay, and shape-building alongside basket weave, twill, soumack, pile, rya, and twining techniques. Virtual visits to the Art Institute of Chicago and presentations on contemporary handweavers supplement this studio experience.

Refund Policy

FOR ADULTS:

100 percent tuition refund one week prior to first class.
No refunds will be issued less that one week prior to first class.

FOR KIDS:

100 percent tuition refund prior to Friday, May 13.
100 percent tuition refund less $100 cancellation fee after May 13 and prior to the second class.
No refunds will be issued after the second class has met.

Any requests for exceptions to the cancellation policy as stated above must be submitted in writing and accompanied by the school's refund exception form which will be sent to you by CourseHorse after we receive your request.

I loved this class! It was awesome to meet people out of state and learn different concepts with them. The instructor shared plenty of background and topics that broadened my expression. Wish there was a second two offered remotely. Would recommend to any one who loves working with fabrics.
