Do you have old or unused misprints laying around? If so, this one day collage workshop is perfect for you! “Cut Constructions: Techniques for Collaging with Print” imagines new possibilities for making collage works out of prints.
Supplies and techniques for cutting, assembling, and combining imagery will be discussed. Students should bring with them any materials they are interested in using, including, but not limited to, colored pencils, markers, pens, crayons, watercolors, magazines, books, newspapers, drawings, and print ephemera they’d like to use.
A small supplies list and introductory email will be provided ahead of time to those enrolled. This class is a great option for creating handmade gifts and greeting cards ahead of the holidays. Risk and experimentation is encouraged!
Note:
Teens ages 15-17 may take the class either with a parent or with CPC permission.
Tuition is only refundable for group classes when CourseHorse is notified at least 6 business days prior to the session start date.
Either way, students are responsible for notifying CourseHorse that they wish to drop a class or workshop; not attending the first class does not constitute an official cancellation.
If you must drop a class within 6 business days of the first session, no refund or credit will be given (except in the event of documented medical reasons with a physician’s note or other extenuating circumstances).
The school does not offer makeup sessions for missed classes. However, if you must miss a class due to illness or extreme weather, the school will offer a complimentary work session once the course is complete and the student is confident with their skills. While classes are rarely canceled, students will receive a full refund without a processing fee if a cancellation does occur.
