Griselle grew up in Añasco, Puerto Rico. Her passion for dance started as a little kid dancing to typical Puerto Rican folk music, which is called “plena”. In her hometown, she was part of a dance crew that showcased traditional and contemporary dance at different events and even had the privilege of becoming the official dance crew for the theme park “El Castillo” (The astle).
During high school and college, Griselle was the official choreographer for the first dance of the Miss Luis Muñoz Marin Añasco pageant, a role she held for 5 years.
She was a dancer on the first dance team in the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez from where she graduated with a Bachelors in Science in Industrial Engineering. After college, she moved to Massachusetts where she continued pursuing her passion for dance taking ballet, hip-hop and ballroom classes all while working and getting a Masters in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University.
More recently, Griselle loved taking Zumba classes with Kate so much that she got Zumba certified in August 2016 and is a member of the Zumba Instructor Network. Griselle now lives in Natick MA with her husband, and also works full time as a Manufacturing Engineer.
