Create and Regulate

Each week, students and caregivers will engage in the artistic process to cultivate connection and creativity. Caregivers and students will learn about regulation, co-regulation, and art techniques to calm the body and mind. This class requires caregiver participation and is an opportunity to foster emotional connection and attunement. This course may offer therapeutic benefits, however, it is not therapy.
Creating with Clay

Children will explore the wonderful properties of ceramic clay while developing skills to create three dimensionally. Summer Arts: Create with Clay

Get messy exploring the wonderful world of clay. Students will use kiln fired, air dry, polymer and paper clay to create animals, bugs, magical creatures, fake food, functional pottery and so much more. Learn basic construction techniques and think three dimensionally while having fun! Ceramic projects will be glazed, fired and ready for pick up after 2 weeks.

Summer Arts: Rainforest Adventures

Learn about the rainforest while you create animals, insects, reptiles and flowers. We will look at paintings by Henri Rousseau for inspiration. Our own masterpieces will be made by using paint, pastel, clay, yarn, feathers and more. It’s a jungle out there!
Saturday Clay
Students will have fun making pumpkins, leaf dishes, snowmen, luminaries and more while learning pinching, coiling and slab building. Imagination encouraged! Children will glaze their projects and pick them up approximately 10 days after the last class.
Pre-K Clay
