Wine & Thanksgiving Flavors Pairing
What you'll learn in this wine class:
Thanksgiving is not as easy perhaps as it seems; at least not in terms of finding the perfect wine. Turkey by itself isn't hard, but given the myriad flavors that are on the table at the same time, it can be a little tricky. Cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes (maybe with marshmallows!), chestnuts, mushrooms. We're going to break it down a little. We'll walk you through the basics of pairing wine with what's on the table for the holiday. You'll also have the chance to taste the different food components that are possibly going to be on your table - and we'll have several wines to try with each. We'll go through what works with each, and how to tailor to your own family food traditions. This is a limited edition class hosted as part of the #FoodForThought campaign. Proceeds will go towards feeding 10,000 hungry New Yorkers this holiday season through the Food Bank for NYC. Thank you for your support.
