What you'll learn in this weaving class:
Students will learn new weaving vocabulary, how to direct warp the loom and weave a balanced weave. We will discuss the difference between balanced weave, weft faced and warp faced fabric.This class is an introduction to hand weaving on the Cricket rigid heddle loom.Tuition does not include the price of the Cricket Loom. Must be purchased at Lion Brand Yarn Studio. 10% off all class supplies. Please have your Cricket Loom assembled prior to the workshop.Materials & Homework (if required): Listed in confirmation e-mail.

Knitting 1: Beginning Knitting
As a person who has never picked up a pair of knitting needles before, I found this class to be a very good starting point. The teacher was very helpful and knowledgable and I thought the class was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this course to a friend and I look forward to taking additional classes at the Lion Brand Studio

Intro to Needle Felting
The class was good. I learned to make a 3D felted cacti. The teacher was very nice and helpful.

Crochet 1: Beginning Crochet
Basically, I have been looking for crafty classes in New York City. I've found that it's difficult to locate the various studios that teach craft skills in the area. Course Horse, obviously, is terrific for compiling many offerings into one website. I'd never heard of Lion Brand Studio before, but the time and location of the class fit my schedule. It seems like a great store/workshop, and I look forward to going there again.
