What you'll learn in this stone setting class:

Learn to fabricate bezels and rings and how to set cabochons and faceted gemstones to create beautiful stackable rings meant to be worn together. Learn different techniques for creating textures and detail in your rings.

Dress up your fingers with your very own set of rings using round, square and twisted wire and adorn with gemstones in assorted colors, shapes, and sizes.

Working with sterling silver, hammer and stamps, as well as high polish, and oxidized finishes to accentuate textures and highlight designs is used.

You will learn to construct bezel settings for cabochon and faceted gemstones, and how to use gallery wire for a lacy, delicate looking setting in this 6 week course.

Students may bring their own stones or purchase from the tutor's collection. Class will include a tutorial on a variety of gemstone types, different cuts, and what to look for when selecting a gem.

Note: After enrolling, you will receive  a detailed list of tools required for this class. On average, these cost about $60.

This class is great! Exactly what they described. The teacher is very attentive and let's u work at your own pace!! So excited to sign up for more

Attended: Ring Making Intensive

There were a lot of students in the class...it was 11:1 student teacher ratio!! I read that other students got to make more than 1 ring...I kinda wished I could make 2! The teacher was pretty cool though, very helpful and funny, but had to wait in a mini line to get his attention :(

Attended: Steel Fabrication

This was a great class! I am an absolute novice when it comes to jewelry design, but the teacher was very patient and clear in his explanations, and the other students were so enthusiastic about their projects. The space is a really good one to work in. I never felt crowded. They have plenty of tools & resources available to use, but you should bring your own files and saw. Overall I would recommend this class to both beginners and advanced jewelry makers who want to learn more about the specific properties of working with steel. Bryce was very knowledgable and loved to discuss his craft.
