Team Lead / Sr. Software Engineer

CourseHorse helps you find and enroll in the best classes locally. We're a small but highly ambitious company on the brink of revolutionizing how people learn. In less than a year, we've built the largest class marketplace in NYC, and are looking toward national expansion in 2013. We share investors with Pinterest, have an incredible product advisory team (including the founder of Foursquare), and most importantly, a large and growing user base that loves our product.

We're on the hunt for an extremely talented engineer to join the ranks of the founding team to help us scale our web application for new markets and audiences, to own the full software lifecycle (planning to implementation) and to launch new features that improve the way people learn within their communities.

Requirements:

3+ yrs experience building web applications
Comfortable with Javascript, HTML, and CSS
Experience with modern APIs (Rest, SOAP)
Fluency in PHP , or other dynamic language
Strong expertise with relational databases, preferably MySQL
Bonus points for experience with Solr, Lucene or other search engines
