New York Jazz Workshop

Our Mission

We would like to welcome you to New York Jazz Workshop, the place in New York City to connect with fellow musicians. We are determined to create opportunities for students of all levels to play in a workshop/ensemble guided by a world class faculty.

New York Jazz Workshop is dedicated to creating opportunities for musicians, amateurs, and professionals alike, to get together and play in a band setting under guidance of a world-class faculty.

A series of workshops are being offered to inspire students to move on to the next level. Whether your preference is Bebop, the Blues, Mixed meter and Polyrhythm, Jazz theory, Guitar or Vocal, we have an ensemble to suit your interests and aspirations.

You can register for an ongoing workshop, a Summer Summit Intensive, a new workshop that is under development or a private class. If a spot is not available in the workshop of interest you will be put on a waitinglist, and we will try to find you a spot in another workshop that is in balance with your level and interest.

With workshops under development: Classes start as soon as enough students show interest. You can sign up for a class with no obligations. As soon as we have four or more students signed up for a class, we will do the rest.

This unique approach also gives students the opportunity to request a specific class, even if it is not listed on our regular roster. Are you interested in a New Orleans style ensemble or an Odd Meter ensemble? Let us know and we will get to work and make it happen.

The faculty consists of stellar musicians, educators, and artists who have traveled the world. They are at the forefront of the global jazz scene and have in depth knowledge in the specific subject matter that they are assigned to. Most of our faculty members are also associated with renowned conservatories in New York City (NYU, New School, Columbia University, MSM).

We look forward to having you as a student, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Regards,
