Writing is a deeply satisfying creative endeavour, but most writers never get their works to readers or publishers. The publishing world is complicated and difficult to navigate, and many authors do not know how to find a readership or a publisher for their writing.

Crowdfunding is a phenomenal new tool for authors, changing the landscape of the publishing world. The brains behind Publishizer will show you how crowd-funding is disrupting the book publishing industry, what it offers independent publishing authors, and how to run a successful crowd-funding campaign. 

This course will teach writers the practicalities and the business of getting published. With insights and case studies of authors who have successfully crowd-funded and published their books, attendees will also be working on exercises in interactive sessions and leave with actionable goals to getting their writing published.

It will be presented by Guy Vincent, Founder & CEO of Publishizer, a crowdfunding platform that connects authors with publishers through preorders. Publishizer won the Singapore pitch for Echelon 2014, Asia's largest tech conference, and was a BookTech finalist in the 2016 Futurebook Awards. Guy has run Writer Workshops in Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Bali, London and New York, and is the author of his upcoming book, "The Lean Book: How To Test, Validate & Launch Bestsellers".

There will be a large chalkboard sign placed on the sidewalk outside the venue. 

NOTE: Doors will only open 15 minutes before start time.

This workshop is for serious writers. Please bring something you are working for the course exercises. Please bring your own notebook and pen and/or laptop to work on.
