Knit Stranded Colorwork

Learn to knit colorwork while working on an elegant earwarmer. If you've mastered knitting basics and are looking to tackle more complex projects, this workshop is for you! By the end of this class you’ll be ready to tackle larger colorwork patterns of your choosing.

In this three hour workshop, we'll cast on the With the Flow Earwarmer pattern and learn colorwork techniques as we go. You will learn how to:

• Stranded colorwork
• Knitting both Continental and English style at the same time
• Yarn management
• Carrying floats
• Reading a chart

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

This is an intermediate level knitting workshop. In order to register, you must have confidence in the following knitting skills, and have practiced them in the recent past. Due to the group nature of this workshop, we will not be able to provide instruction on the below.

• Knitting
• Purling
• Knitting in the round
• Casting on
• Binding off

Materials + Tools Required:

• 2 skeins of Malabrigo Chunky Yarn in contrasting colors
• 1 pair of size 16" circular needles - US Size 10.5
• 1 row counter  or knitting register (optional but helpful)
• Jumbo Stitch Markers
• Jumbo tapestry needle
