The class focuses on leading and following, dance positions, body mechanics and style.
Course description:
This class is for salsa dancers who want to go to the next level. It is not for beginners. Most students need to repeat the Beginner class 2 -3 times before they can enter the Intermediate Class (either 2-3 months in a row or 2xs per week) A student must be able to execute the basic steps naturally, without thinking about it, before they can enter this class.
Note: No street shoes permitted on the dance floor. Please bring a change of shoes. (No rubber soles please)
Teacher: Francis
Owner, founder and head instructor of Dance Fever Studios, Francis is an expert in salsa, hustle, argentine tango, ballroom and latin. His specialty is leaders and followers technique in social dance. Francis has performed and taught at numerous corporate events, weddings and private parties. His latest performances were at the over 1,000 seat Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC for the 20th year anniversary of Dirty Dancing and 30th year anniversary of Saturday Night Fever. Francis has also been in or on News 12, NY1, The Daily News, The Bay News and Caribbean Life.
