This course will primarily focus on the content, increasing the students' knowledge of the subject through the English Language curriculum.
Our Standard English course focuses on learning through real-life communication (speaking, listening, reading, writing) inside and outside of the classroom.
Botanical nomenclature can aid your ability to better identify plants. For example, we can infer from the name Portulaca that plants of this genus carry a milky sap, because portu means carry (as in portable) and laca refers to milk (as in lactose). Review rules of taxonomy and pronunciation and learn the history of the binomial system in use today.
This Spanish course prepares health care professionals to effectively communicate in Spanish while enjoying the language-learning experience.
If you are already familiar with the present tense, you can introduce yourself, talk a little bit about yourself, ask other people about themselves, and you know some basic vocabulary (family, parts of the body, everyday objects...), then you are ready for Level 2.
In this class students will focus on structured conversation and student interaction, students continue to build on the knowledge they acquired in beginner Arabic 1.
In 6-8 weeks, basic conversation, reading, listening and writing skills will be taught. Students learn regular verbs and some irregular verbs: to be, to have, to do, to go, etc.
In this course, students will learn to use the 2 different past tenses in Portuguese as well as express their opinions in those tenses.
In 6-8 weeks students will be introduced to the Cyrillic alphabet, the present tenses and 1-2 cases.
The conversational activities and assignments are intended to help you become more proficient in speaking Spanish.
