Swatch #1
- With a light colored worsted weight yarn and size US 8 needle cast on 36 stitches.
- Knit 20 rows in garter stitch (knit every row).
- Change to stockinette stitch (purl one row, knit one row) for 20 rows. Make sure you end just having purled a row and looking at the knit side of your work
- Knit 14 stitches, bind off 8, place last bind off loop on left needle, knit 1, ssk, knit to end

Q&AQ: Can I make up a class if I miss one?A: No. There are no makeups allowed. You might be able to informally meet with the instructor but it would be up to the instructor. The school is very flexible with scheduling and attendance for our Beginning Knitting and Beginning Crochet courses; however, for intermediate level courses, they ask students commit to attending the scheduled sessions.
