Theater Arts Workshop (6-12 yrs)

This is a dynamic skills-based class where students will learn acting technique, character development, vocal skills, improvisation, creative drama, play-building, scene study, and more. Students will study foundational theater texts as well as different performance genres and styles. 

The class will include partner work, group activities, games, opportunities for individual projects, cultivation of leadership skills, practicing creative decision making, and development of collaborative skills. The Workshop program will culminate in a performance sharing in the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater that will bring process to life on stage, sharing new acting techniques, short scenes, monologues, improvisational structures, and creative drama explorations.

Location Instructions: 
Students will need to check in with reception, and on their first visit they will need to check in with the Membership Desk to get their program participant card for entry. Reception will direct them to the room where their class is being held.
