This is an after school program where kids can come to BKB and learn to climb under the supervision and coaching of our staff.
In this class, students will learn the basics of iaido, the traditional sword martial art of the samurai, using junior-sized bokken, or wooden practice swords.
Teen Academy is designed to give you the tools you need to improve your climbing in a fun and relaxed environment.
For kids 10 and younger who have been fencing for at least one year, have a good understanding of basic movements, and are ready for a higher level of footwork, technical skills, and bouting tactics.
Students will gain discipline, sharper reaction time, a full body workout and self-confidence.
Climb under the supervision and coaching of our staff. Activities include stretching, climbing games, roped climbing, and slacklining. We allocate one staff member for every 5 kids to make sure every participant gets their fill of climbing and stays supervised and encouraged.
For young kids 6-7 years old. The class introduces footwork, basic techniques and skills, etiquette and sportsmanship.

Students will focus on developing confidence and competency in all strokes and safety skills. They will be formally taught the breast and butterfly stroke, as well as deep water bobbing, sculling and diving.
Over the course of this class, students will learn how to breath in and out of water, float on front and back without floatation support and submerge underwater. They will also be able to push off of pool wall, glide and flutter kick, on their front and back.
Swimmers will continue to learn rhythmic breathing, gliding and kicking on front and back in order to build up a tolerance for distance swimming. They will begin to roll over from front to back in the water and vice versa. Students will learn to coordinate their arm and leg movements, as well as to jump and dive from a sitting position.
In this class, the instructor directs the parents on how to hold their own child in the water, with the hopes of getting both parent and child adjusted with the aquatic environment.
