Youth Fencing Advanced (9-12 yrs old)

In tihs class, fencers aged 9 through 12 will enjoy weekly, hour-long group classes that emphasize the technical and the tactical aspects of the sport. Training is geared towards developing speed, strength, endurance, confidence, focus and self-control, all skills that help children do well not merely in fencing, but in school and in other organized sports.

This class acts as a bridge between the youth beginner group and the two-hour junior class. Students who enroll in this group should have at least a full year of fencing experience.

List of gear that is required:  

If your child has been fencing for at least one year, he or she should own a full set of equipment. This includes the uniform, as well as a body cord, lame, and electric foil. 

For Beginners: The minimum that every student should own is a FOIL mask, (smallest comfortable size). a jacket, and a glove. 

Note: The Unlimited Program is highly recommended for any fencer who wishes to participate in competitions.
