This class will teach the fundamentals of journalistic reporting in the digital age. Students will learn about different media channels, how to tell a story on the various media platforms and create their own multi media piece.
The medium is the message?
From the print press to television to the Internet: Technology is constantly changing the way media works, creating new opportunities and challenges for quality journalism.
How can we foster journalistic integrity and balanced reporting in today’s digital environment?What are the possibilities and challenges of the different channels such as text, video and social media to tell a story?
With this course, students will:
