During the class, you will learn and apply new concepts like panning and depth of field, while becoming familiar with the menu items that are featured on digital cameras and how to best operate them. The intro to digital cameras is appropriate for people who are still largely unfamiliar with digital cameras and their inner workings as well as how to best operate them, thanks to the built in demo during the 3 hour session. We encourage you to attend this class even if you do not yet own a digital camera yet. The material in this class is perfect for individuals who want to know the benefits and capabilities of a new camera, by examining the various options before a purchase.Panning & Depth of FieldPanning is a technique that results creates the illusion of motion without blurring the subject to the point of unrecognizability. Your instructor will teach you this technique in the studio, and then help you apply it outside.Another skill your instructor will teach you is the correct use of depth of field. This will help you to add another dimension to your photos literally. Much of the time, depth of field is used to accentuate beautiful natural scenes, like the two above. However, it can be used in any situation to create a more interesting and complex image you'll undoubtedly consider it as an option for all future photo opportunities. For both of these strategies, your instructor will teach you both the fundamental mechanics of the technique and ways to apply it to improve your everyday photography.

DSLR 101
Great class that I would highly recommend for anyone who is new to photography. I learned the basics of photography and how to use my camera. The instructor was very knowledgeable and took the time to make sure we understood the concepts and were able to use the different functions of our individual cameras.

Point and Shoot 101
The Point and Shoot 101 class was superb. I am not exaggerating when I say that the instructor, Steven (sp?), was one of the best teachers I ever had the pleasure of taking a class with. Very knowledgeable about the subject of photography, obviously very passionate about it, and has a way of explaining concepts where things really sink in. I'd take another class with him. Overall, a good experience, small class size helped too!
