Kathleen Parker's Acting Workshop

After the group session, students will perform either a cold read or their prepared side in front of the casting director.

Students must bring prepared sides for this class.

Sides: You must e-mail to us the sides and an explanation of their source a minimum of two days before your workshop. We will review the sides to ensure that they meet industry requirements. The key requirement is that the sides be from a television show that aired before the currently running season or a film that’s already been released. They cannot be from a script from the current or a future season, or from unproduced work. If you have sides that fit this requirement, we must still approve them; otherwise, you will not be allowed to perform them at one of our workshops.

What to Bring: You must bring a headshot and resume. For workshops in which the casting director wants to watch performances of prepared sides, you must bring two copies of your sides: one for yourself and one for your reader. The reader’s copy must have the reader’s part highlighted.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the workshop to sign in. Some casting directors do not allow latecomers to take part. We will not refund your cost of the workshop in these instances.
