Our scene study classes focus on the art of storytelling. Each student will be taken on a journey of self discovery, developing their own unique way of working. You will learn about character creation, (what we call the Hero’s Journey), story analysis, and the power of relationship. Ultimately, you will rediscover the joy and simplicity of extraordinary storytelling
Actors will build a solid foundation in “the reality of doing” and finding the truth within themselves. Through total commitment to this work, actors will meet the demands of any role. Classes are directed by instructor Ryan Tofil.
For this special evening, CD will be meeting and working with our actors on what it takes to book roles in film. You'll start off with a Q&A, followed by prepared sides with a reader on-camera in a group. Be prepared for extensive feedback as well as ready to take re-adjustments on the fly.
This course is an ongoing drop-in class that focuses on how to create improvised scenes and stories.
The evening will start off with a Q & A, and then each actor will perform for the casting director using your prepared material in a group format. Expect to get direction and possible recommendations of material to "check out" if what you are currently using doesn't "work."
This class is for beginners as well as seasoned pros wishing to acquire, or continue to explore, the Meisner-based approach as taught at the studio.
When it's time for your club appearance you will have solidly written, funny material and you will be well rehearsed and ready to perform at your peak and beyond. This class also comes with two private sessions with Stephen Rosenfield.
The goal of the class is to develop and hone the actor's instincts so instead of working from their intellect they work from their gut.

Students will learn how to approach various types of voice over copy.
